White Water Tubing

This activity was first brought into England nearly 2 years ago by Keswick Adventure Centre, and has been copied but never matched!

THESE SESSIONS ARE FOR OVER 18 YEAR OLDS ONLY!!

We meet in the Bowlees Visitor Centre car park (DL12 0XE), usually at 10:50am, before walking across the road to the River Tees (near Middleton-in-Teesdale).

FROM MIDDLETON-IN-TEESDALE FOLLOW THE B6277 TOWARDS HIGH FORCE. THE CARPARK IS ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE BEFORE THE TELEPHONE BOX. Arriviing late will mean that you will not be able to participate and no refund or alternative will be offered - without exception.

The session begins with a full safety briefing followed by some simple tasks to help you to become familiar with the 'controls'! before tackling some of the more exciting aspects of the river.

The Dog-Leg section in the most exciting part of the river - and those of you that know this river from paddling will know that it is calssified as Grade 4 White Water! We spend some time on this section challenging you with various tasks in order to find out who has "Mastered" the ring!

After about 2.5 hours on the river we head off and get changed before heading back to Keswick - stopping off at a pub in Middleton for some of the best home-made chips around if you desire!

White Water Tubing is perfectly suited to Stag and Hen Parties, or any group for that matter.

MINIMUM GROUP SIZE IS 8.
